On behalf of the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Host Committee, we are pleased to invite your elite level team to apply to compete in the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Showcase Gold International Championship taking place July 2 - 8, 2012 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Don’t miss this great opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills and display their talents by competing against other elite level softball teams in high caliber competition.

About the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Showcase Gold International Championship:

• The 2012 Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Showcase Gold International Championship will be held from July 2 - 8 in Surrey, British Columbia and will promote the development of fastpitch by helping young female athletes reach for their personal best.
• 2012 is promising to be an outstanding year for the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Showcase Gold International Championship as we extended invitations to national and elite club teams.

• Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch invites hundreds of college and university scouts to the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Championship. By participating in this tournament you will be providing your players with an excellent opportunity to be considered for scholarships at a variety of NCAA Division 1, 2 and 3, NAIA, and NJCAA schools in North America.

•  All players and up to four (4) coaches will be given full Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch accreditation. This will give them complimentary access to all competition venues.

Why compete at the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Showcase Gold International Championship?

• The opportunity to celebrate the sport of fastpitch with teams from around North America.
• Minimum seven (7) pre-scheduled games.
• Hundreds of college and university coaches/scouts invited.
• Host venues located within a 2-hour drive from SeaTac Airport in Seattle, Washington and 10 minutes from the USA/Canada border.
• The opportunity to share the field during the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship with members of Team Canada and other top International teams.

Guidelines to be part of the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Showcase Gold International Championship:

• All players competing in the 2012 Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Showcase Gold International Championship must be born in 1995 or more recently.
• Canadian Bantam ‘A’ Girls, USA 16U ‘Gold’ Girls, USA 16U Girls, National Youth Teams, and International Youth Club Teams [Non-Canadian or USA] teams only.
• Entry fee will be $750 CAD. Early registration is available to travelling teams (teams not within the Metro Vancouver Area). These teams are eligible to pay an entry fee of $600 CAD if you apply and submit payment before December 31, 2011.
• The Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Selection Committee will make the final decision on who will compete in the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Showcase Gold International Championship.
• PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED within 15 days of application. All payments will be processed, teams not selected to participate will receive a full refund of entry fee.
• Once a team is accepted, no refunds will be issued after February 29, 2012.
