Guidelines to be part of the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Futures International Championship:

Futures Gold (U19) International Championship
July 2 - 8, 2012

(The competition level of teams who are able to participate in the Futures Gold division is:
Canadian Midget ‘A’ Girls, USA 18U ‘Gold’ Girls, USA 18U 'A' Girls,
National Youth Teams, and International Youth Club Teams [Non-Canadian or USA])

FUTURES GOLD GUIDELINES:

  • All players competing in the 2012 Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Futures International Championship must be born in 1993 or more recently. Players born in 1993 are only eligible if they do not currently play softball at a post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum seven (7) pre-scheduled games.
  • Entry fee will be $750 CAD. Early registration is available to travelling teams (teams not within the Metro Vancouver Area). These teams are eligible to pay an entry fee of $600 CAD if you apply and submit payment before December 31, 2011.
  • The Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Selection Committee will make the final decision on who will compete in the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Futures International Championship.
  • PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED within 15 days of application. All payments will be processed, teams not selected to participate will receive a full refund of entry fee.
  • Once a team is accepted, no refunds will be issued after February 29, 2012.

Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch
Futures Select (U19) International Championship
June 30 – July 3, 2012

(The competition level of teams who are able to participate in the Futures Select division is:
Canadian Midget ‘B’ Girls and USA 18U `A` Girls and USA 18U `B` Girls)

FUTURES SELECT GUIDELINES:

  • All players competing in the 2012 Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Futures International Championship must be born in 1993 or more recently. Players born in 1993 are only eligible if they do not currently play softball at a post-secondary institution.
  • Canadian Midget ‘B’ Girls and USA 18U ‘A’ Girls teams only.
  • Minimum five (5) pre-scheduled games.
  • Entry fee will be $395 CAD.
  • A maximum of twenty (20) teams will be accepted. All other teams will be placed on a wait list.
  • The Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Selection Committee will make the final decision on who will compete in the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Futures International Championship.
  • PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED within 15 days of application. All payments will be processed, teams not selected to participate will receive a full refund of entry fee.
  • Once a team is accepted, no refunds will be issued after February 29, 2012.

Once your Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Futures application has been accepted for the 2012 tournament, all tournament administration forms must be completed by May 31, 2012 for advance accreditation and other administrative purposes. THIS INCLUDES ALL PLAYER PROFILE INFORMATION, WHICH WILL BE USED IN THE 2012 SCOTIABANK CANADIAN OPEN FASTPITCH FUTURES UNIVERSITY/COLLEGE COACH SCOUTS MANUAL (Rosters are not official until handed in at the coaches' meeting. Futures GOLD coaches' meeting to be held on Sunday, July 1, 2012 and Futures SELECT Friday, June 29, 2012).
