It’s a celebration of youth and sport at the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship in Surrey, BC. Put on your game face and take your family and friends out to the ballgame! There’s two elite female youth tournaments, a Team Canada game per day and pre Team Canada game fun-filled activities!
The Canadian Open Fastpitch International Futures (U19) and Showcase (16U) Championships gets underway July 5 through 11 at Softball City and Cloverdale Athletic Park.
But that’s not all. Team Canada will be playing a game per day July 5 through 11.
As part of helping to mentor and inspire the youth of the sport, Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team will compete against Team USA in a marquee game series July 8 – 11 at Softball City, Surrey, BC.
Leading up to the much anticipated games vs Team USA, Canada will play the Washington Absolute Blast, a US club team, also well known to the local softball crowd. These games will run Monday, July 5 through Wednesday, July 7.
All Team Canada games will start at 7pm each evening, July 5 – 10 with the Sunday, July 11 game commencing at 3:30pm following the Showcase and Futures finals.
Some fun-filled family activities will take place throughout the week prior to Team Canada's game every day July 5 - 11, with an emphasis on activities prior to the marquee Team Canada/Team USA games happening once daily July 8 - 11.
Fans are encouraged to come early and enjoy the pre-game Celebration of Softball activities and cheer on their favourite team in this summer showdown at Softball City.
